Optimum flow is assured when using this long nose flexible khaki pouring spout with our cans. Contains a special breathing channel provides steady, glug-free, pouring. Please note this spout does not fit our ‘Site Can’.

Our cans are rinsed out with a cleaning fluid after they are manufactured which does have a fuel-like scent to it. We can confirm that this is normal and does no harm to the can or the fuel that is then put inside.

No. The coloured steel cans are lined with a rezinol lining inside and are suitable for fuel only, not water.

The Site Cans are a more affordable solution to storing fuel & we wanted to give our customers the option of having a lower-price choice of steel can.     Labels – If you order labels through the website you will be charged our minimum delivery amount. If you are only ordering safety labels call our office on 01508 493 647 and we will be able to save you money on postage. 

    Spouts – When selecting a flexible or rigid spout with either a Red, Yellow or Khaki Fuel Can you will receive a spout of the same colour. For all other colour fuel cans you will receive a black spout (rigid or flex depending on selection). To order different amounts of fuel can spouts to Jerry Cans please order separately.

      I had missed the need for purchasing a different clip to fit the 5L. First use and it leaked all around the rubber seal. I will try tightening it more next time but I am sure I had it tight already. If that is the case, it is as good as a £5 plastic can and spout which is disappointing.

      I already have a 5L jerrycan I bought from Army surplus about 10 years ago, it’s genuine and was used when I got it, I bought a flexible metal hose at the same time, this combination has never leaked a drop from the connection, and the primary reason for my purchase of the Wavian 10L can and extra long flexible hose to match was bought about when we went onto E10 fuel. You see I’m not sure if the lining of my ex-military 5L is proofed against it, I didn’t fancy it melting and getting into my fuel system hence the purpose of the upgrade. unfortunately my new Wavian combo does leak a few drops from the connections, only a couple so not enough to do anything about, maybe it will bed in? But I’m being honest.

      Works amazingly well with Wavian cans – no glugging and empties 20L can in about 1 minute. Very impressed – much better than generic spout I had used for past 10 yrs that takes 2-3x longer. The vent pipe protrudes and didn’t fit 2 of my old army surplus jerrycans. Highly recommend.

      A full 20l jerry can is around 20 kg and when you are decanting petrol from such into smaller fuel containers or vehicle or lawnmower petrol tanks this can be quite a strain on your back – it’s not a fast process and demands care. This flexible hose is of both a length and stiffness ( flexibility-wise) to make this job MUCH easier and safer: in terms of 1) preventing back strains/injuries, and 2) avoiding spillage and its associated fire risk, when compared to using a rigid spout or worse still, no spout at all. When refuelling such small tanks daily how many small spillages would collectively constitute £11.70 worth of petrol I wonder? I suspect in reality this item wouldn’t take too long to pay for itself.
