I have received my jerry can and it has a residue inside which smells of fuel?
Our cans are rinsed out with a cleaning fluid after they are manufactured which does have a fuel-like scent to it. We can confirm that this is normal and does no harm to the can or the fuel that is then put inside.
Are the Wavian/Site steel fuel cans suitable for water?
No. The coloured steel cans are lined with a rezinol lining inside and are suitable for fuel only, not water.
What is the difference between a Wavian Steel can & a Site Can?
Our Wavian branded cans are top quality fuel cans. They are made to the highest standards to last a lifetime. The Site Cans are a more affordable solution to storing fuel & we wanted to give our customers the option of having a lower-price choice of steel can. The Wavian quality may not be matched, but they are a decent can for fuel storage.

Spout Clip for 5 Litre Jerry Can
For attaching our pouring spouts to our 5L Wavian Jerry Cans you will need this simple 5L spout clip attachment. The clip attaches to the handle with a single screw, allowing the spout to be mounted across the handle of the can.

Please note: If you purchase a regular Wavian Can compatible Spout from us a spout clip to attach the spout to a 10 or 20 Litre can is included. If you are planning on attaching your Spout to a 5 Litre Wavian Jerry Can you will need this 5 litre spout clip.

Wavian very kindly provided this for free with my order for two 5 L jerry cans and a Long Nose Flexible Pouring Spout. This latter fits snugly and firmly into this clip which is neat, tidy and handy. The quality of their products is exceptional, for example this tiny M5 fastener that securely connects the clip to the jerry can is stainless rather than cheaper and prone to rust mild, steel. Would that all sellers paid this much attention to detail.

What a complete rip off. Time and time again people have said that this item should be supplied with the can. Your reply is “if you buy a 10ltr or a 20ltr can then it is included”
That’s no answer as I’ve bought a 5ltr can!!!
It’s not the cost, it’s the principle. Then to add insult to injury you have the audacity to charge £5.50 postage for an item that weighs less than an ounce and try to justify it by saying due to Covid we can’t use small package prices.
What a nonsense.
Wake up and smell the coffee how about reading and reacting to these reviews instead of telling customers that if you had spent more money with us then we will provide a spout holder.

Dear Ian, thanks for your comments. We read all our reviews and take all comments by our customers very seriously. You can see we have already replied to someone else regarding these spout clips. I can appreciate that you feel frustrated regarding the charges and you are right they are relatively high for such a small thing. If I can briefly explain the current situation for us, I know it may not make you feel better, but it may offer some clarification for other customers as to the charges.
Just to clarify, no spout clips are actually included when you purchase any of our fuel cans and the 10/20 litre spout clips are only included when you purchase a Wavian spout.
The Wavian 5 litre fuel can is a different shape and design to the 10 & 20 Litre fuel cans (which are the same at the top), so it needs a different spout clip too. As we sell many more 10 & 20 Litre cans than 5 litre cans it wouldn’t be cost effective for us to include a 5 litre spout clip and a 10/20 Litre spout clip with every spout that is ordered as most people wouldn’t need it.
So that is why we sell the 5 litre spout clips separately. We try to make this clear and on all the 5 litre Wavian fuel can product pages it mentions that you will need to purchase a separate 5 litre spout clip in order to attach a spout to your 5 litre can.
Currently our office staff are working remotely so all orders no matter how small have to go via our warehouse where we have to pay a pick fee, a fulfilment fee and a minimum courier delivery charge and sending these clips out actually costs us money.
Once we are back in the office again we will be able to post some smaller items (labels, clips) from there like we have done in the past. Until that point we advise all customers who need to purchase a 5 litre spout clip to do so at the same time as their spout and/or fuel can order. If a customer does this then they will not need to pay any extra delivery charges for the clip and the price is currently (as of Nov2020) only £2.38 inc VAT.

Thanks for the message and comments Stephen. The majority of our spout sales are with 20 Litre fuel cans and we do include a spout clip to attach to a 10 / 20 litre fuel can with these. Unfortunately the 5 litre fitting is slightly different.
