Green Valley owner Simon Webster heads into the final FUCHS LUBRICANTS Motorsport UK British Historic Rally Championship event this weekend with a real chance of taking home the title.
After some excellent results in his Ford Escort MK2 this season, Simon, along with navigator Jez Rogers hold a slender lead over Northern Irishmen Stanley Orr and Graham Henderson who are hot on their heals in their MK1 Escort.
There are potentially still 5 teams who can still win it, but in order to secure the championship Simon only needs to finish above Orr. If Orr wins, Simon can still take home the trophy if he finishes second, but this is no easy task as the Yorkshire event will see the return of Matthew Robinson and Nick Elliott who will both be eager to finish well in what has been a highly competitive and exciting season of rallying.
